It's time to start thinking about our holiday trip to Branson to see some Christmas shows and have some fun! Our trip for this year is scheduled for November 11-13. If you've been on one of our Branson tours before, we would love to have you join us again. If you've never been on one of our motorcoach excursions, let us show you how much fun a road trip with Jim and Dee can be. We have selected a group of shows to appeal to a wide range of people.
We will depart from Sherman at approximately 6:00 am on Thursday, November 11th. After a stop in Joplin for lunch, we will arrive in Branson at approximately 2:00 pm. We have reservations at Cobblestone Inn this year.
Our first show will be ""Shake, Rattle & Roll"", a new show, created in London, featuring the best hits of the 50's. We will take a walk down memory lane with such favorites as ""Good Golly Miss Molly"", ""Rock Around The Clock"", ""Only You"", ""Blue Suede Shoes"" and many, many more. They'll also mix in some 50's Christmas tunes as well.
Dinner on Thursday evening will be at McFarlin's Restaurant before we head for the Mansion Theatre for the Gatlin Brothers and Debby Boone Show. Following this show, we'll drive thru the Festival of Lights Christmas lighting display.
After breakfast at Peppercorn's Restaurant, we will depart for the Barbara Fairchild show at 10:00 am. We will have lunch at the Barbara Fairchild Diner. Our afternoon show will be our favorite, Daniel O'Donnell Christmas Show. We've skipped a year with this show and have had so many requests for it, we've added it to this year's itinerary.
We'll have dinner at the Paradise Grill before departing for the Pierce Arrow Show. We had heard about this show before and last fall, we had an opportunity to see it ourselves. Without a doubt, this is the funniest show I have ever seen! I'm usually not a fan of stand-up comedy, but this is so different and so funny, I was laughing so hard, my stomach was hurting. This is a great way to wind up our schedule.
Saturday morning, we'll have a leisurely breakfast at Peppercorn's and then head home. We'll have lunch at the Dutch Pantry in Chouteau and be back in Sherman by 6:00 pm. Our price for this year is only $533 per person, based on double, including all meals and a tip for our driver. A $50 deposit per person will hold your reservation until final payment on October 15th. Give me a call to make your reservation for three full days of fun!
